Parks grew up in the tiny town of Saltville, Virginia. She fell in love with radio while growing up - keeping it on all night to keep her company – only child syndrome! She is an alumnus of The University of Tennessee and bravely or foolishly continues to wear Orange and White in Bulldog country!

Her wonderful, loving, and super-patient husband, Greg, is definitely vying for sainthood - he's put up with her for over 30 years!  They share their lives with a big, black dog named...Big Dog and their foster daughter, Sara, who lives in Cambodia.  Parks will make a third trip over there later this year - Sara is the light of their lives!  Join Parks Sunday mornings for some encouragement and great music.
