Former WSB Radio Journalist Sandra Parrish Joins 101.1 The Pulse
JASPER, GA — WLJA 101.1 FM The Pulse is excited to welcome longtime Atlanta news veteran and Georgia Radio Legend Sandra Parrish as the new host of its expanded Saturday morning program.
Parrish spent 28 years at 95.5 WSB Radio covering Georgia politics, education, and transportation, earning multiple Edward R. Murrow Awards along the way. Beginning January 17, she will host a live show Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon, spotlighting North Georgia through interviews, local news, and conversations with the people and places that make the region unique.
A full-time North Georgia resident based in the Ellijay area, Parrish was inducted as a Georgia Radio Legend in 2022 by Friends of Georgia Radio. In addition to her Saturday show, she will also appear as a recurring contributor across The Pulse’s on-air and digital platforms.
“Saturday with Sandra will be a place where neighbors hear from neighbors,” Parrish said. “I’m excited to bring Georgia’s stories home to North Georgia on 101.1 The Pulse.”
